The Associated Students of the University of California, or ASUC is the student "government" at UCB. They own Eshleman Hall, MLK Union, and the ASUC Bookstore.
Every Spring students elect the new officials for the next year.
Since the ASUC owns the bookstore, profit from the bookstore goes into their operating budget.
